Jolly Polly and the Pirates

So who are Jolly Polly and the Pirates? What do we do? Why do we do it? Where we are from? Well these and many other questions will be answered here...

Well primarily we are Polly and David, a couple from Sudbury in Suffolk! We also happened to each have been musicians for most of our lives, so one day we decided to jam with each other and... well the rest is history! We each share a passion for music and love performing together, and that's why we think nothing of travelling a couple of hundred miles of an evening to help someone's party or wedding go off with a bang.

The band itself was formed in early 2017 with guitarist Jon Halden, playing our local pubs around Suffolk and Essex. We quickly earned a reputation as a high energy, exciting band and the private party and wedding enquiries subsequently rolled in!

In early 2021 Jon decided to step down from the band as his kayaking business was taking off, so Polly and David decided to enlist the services of three legendary guitarists that they had played with many times before- Dom Mackie, James Carr and James Morgan to fill his pirate sized boots. All three bring something different to the band, and we are raring to go and looking forward to whatever the future may hold!
